Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.

So much is in flux right now. So much is changing that it can feel almost dizzying.
How many of you have gone all day thinking it was, say, Tuesday, when it was actually Wednesday?
We’re all a bit discombobulated, aren’t we? Slightly off-kilter. Too much is changing too rapidly. Just this morning someone asked me about plans this summer, and my answer was “I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow, let alone this summer!”
But, in the midst of all this cultural flux and fluidity, we have a promise that we can hold unswervingly to:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Go back and read that again. Let it truly sink in.
Jesus is steady. He is constant. Unmovable. A rock that is firm and strong.
You and I can stand on Him and know for sure that He will not shift, slide or scatter.
Today, I invite you to mediate on that verse, as well as listen to the worship song “Build My Life.”  Let these lyrics strengthen your heart in these days of dizzying change…
I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken
Grace & Peace,
Pastor John
