Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.
Our vision for small groups at West Salem Foursquare is that people would encounter Jesus by gathering in community to grow in friendship, encourage each other in our journey with God and to be accountable with other believers.
Hebrews 10:25 implores us “not to give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as we see the Day approaching.” There are many ways to gather in our culture. There are concerts, weddings, funerals, work meetings, birthday parties and more. However, there is something significant about the body of Christ who gathers in the name of Jesus!
Our small group environments are a place where people feel seen, known and heard. They are places of healing and growth and where we learn to walk closely with Jesus. They are places of transformation-because of Jesus. We also have a lot of fun together!
We would love to have you join us! Here are a list of groups being offered this Fall:
Tuesday Night Groups:
•Intentional Parenting (Co-ed): Based on a biblical model, learn how to raise up and support the next generation of passionate Jesus followers!
•Live No Lies (Co-ed): In this group, we will identify the lies of the world, the flesh and the enemy and learn how to overcome them with God and His word as our guide.
•Book of Mark Bible Study (Co-ed): Using foundational Bible study methods, this study of Mark will focus on the final week of Christ.
•Forgiving What You Can’t Forget (Women only): With empathy, therapeutic insight and rich Bible teaching, this study will guide you toward wholeness, freedom and peace.
•Boundaries-A Study of the Beatitudes (Women only): In this study, you will explore the blessed and safe boundaries that Jesus teaches us for living in our current culture as “salt and light.”
•Enemies of the Heart (Men only): This study explores the destructive forces of guilt, anger, greed and jealousy. With biblical direction, learn ways to break free and move toward restoration of soul and relationships.
•Resilient (Men only): Learn the tools you need to follow Jesus’ father of supernatural resilience so you can reclaim your joy, strengthen your heart, and thrive through the storm.
•Praying In Color (For Kids): If you are student entering 3rd-6th grade this year and want to grow in your relationship with God through prayer, join us for this class! You will learn to use creative tools to express your prayers and thoughts to God as we focus on Bible scriptures each week.
Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study:
Find Your People: In a world that’s both more connected and more isolating that ever before, we are tempted to do life alone. Meaningful connection with others has a powerful impact on our well being. Using timeless biblical truth, this study will help you to authentically connect with others, strengthen relationships and build community in your life.
Book of Mark Bible Study: Using foundational Bible study methods, this study of Mark will focus on the final week of Christ.
Praying In Color: This study includes intentional prayer practices and color to develop a life giving connection with the Holy Spirit and a deeper prayer life.
