Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.
“Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety. Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression. Your glance can awaken joy. Your words can inspire freedom. Your every act can open hearts and minds.” David Deida
This quote is weighty, it can be intimidating depending on the mindset you find yourself to be in today. But it leads me back to one thing, the belief that Jesus came to affect us all for eternity. Everything Jesus did was with thoughtfulness and understanding of what humanity needs. And what we needed was a Savior. We aren’t the Savior, but we can strive to be like Him. Today, pay attention to what you’re bringing to the world, are you exuding goodness, kindness, forgiveness?(Galatians 5:22) Are the words you choose to speak inspiring? Or do they tear down others, confuse others or hurt others? Would you choose today to pay attention to these things?
The thought that our words and actions hold so much weight and responsibility can be intimidating. But perhaps it’s good to feel a little of that weight and remember that God desires for us to remain together.
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:2-5
Blessings and peace to you all as you move forward with you day,
