The Last Minute

Hey, guess what time it is!? It’s the last minute, again. Christmas is just a few days away. It’s time to wrap it up, literally. Fortunately for you, I’m planning to make this little article short so, if you read it, you’ll have a couple of extra minutes to catch up on your Christmas preparations.

Here’s the encouraging thing about “the last minute”. Everything that God does happens at just the right time, not a minute sooner, not a minute later. In other words, God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit has a long, long history of doing things at the last minute. God invented the last minute. Let me give you just one verse of scripture to help you understand…

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God Sent forth His Son…”  Galatians 4:4

Jesus arrived at just the right time, the time that had been on Heaven’s calendar from all eternity past. It may be hard for you and me to grasp answers to the eternal “why?” questions. But it makes a huge difference in the peace in your soul when you can get to the place in which you trust God’s timing. He has plans, and His plans will be fulfilled in the fullness of time. They always are.

Same with Christmas this year. It’s going to happen on December 25th. It’s happening at the last minute. So, get busy, stay alert to the important stuff. Do everything you’re doing with love, mercy, and grace. And above all, relax. Don’t panic. Christmas is happening at just the right time.

The right time always seems like the last minute.

In His time,
Pastor Rich
