Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all of your heart.” (ESV)
Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and demands of daily life – errands and deadlines, meetings, laundry, dinnertime. I go from point A to point B, just getting it done. It is easy to forget that there’s a bigger picture, that there is a loving, gracious and powerful God who holds it all together. I forget that there is more than what is right in front of me, more than I can imagine or dream. I get distracted from the main thing.
In Jeremiah 29:13, God invites us to look for Him wholeheartedly and He promises to be found. The beautiful thing about God’s grace is that it is for the “right now.” His presence is always with us.
My question for myself and others this week is how often do we get so engrossed in our stuff that we do not see God? What would happen if we just slowed down a little bit, took in a deep breath of His goodness, opened our eyes to look for what He is doing in our circumstances and prayed? How would that change and transform us?
