Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.

Hello Friends,

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
Every Tuesday night I sit in a circle with my people from re:group.  We begin our time by sharing a story of how God showed up in our lives since the last time we met.  Each week we ask each other, “How did God speak to you?” or, “How was God present in your life this week?”

Eye to eye and human to human, I am amazed every week how our stories connect us and speak to us.  Stories move important things from our heads to our hearts.  As we pray for one another each week, we carry each other into the presence of God.

The spiritual journey is nearly impossible if it’s a journey experienced alone.  Just like the 12 disciples did, we too need community to best follow Jesus. That is where we experience the heart of Jesus.  Like a mirror, the people in our lives can reflect the same kind of love, grace, healing, forgiveness and beauty that Jesus modeled and lived out.

How are you sharing your story in community or small group this week?  How has God spoken to you?  How has he shown up in your life this week?  Spend time listening to your own story and prayerfully reflect on how God has been moving in your life and then share it!
