Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.
The last two weeks I have been writing to you about our beliefs and values as a Foursquare Church. Today I want to share:
The West Salem Foursquare Dream
It is the Dream of people focused on the person and purposes of Jesus Christ.
It is the Dream of a commitment to the reading of, interaction with, and the application of God’s Word.
It is the Dream of God-inspired passions that are limited only by the voice and direction of the Holy Spirit.
It is the Dream of a widespread influence upon the region in which we have been sovereignly and strategically placed.
It is the Dream of a place where those who are lonely, hurting, frustrated, or confused can find love, acceptance, forgiveness, encouragement and purpose.
It is the Dream of being a force that reaches tens of thousands with the Good News of God’s love, and makes room in our family and facility for those who come to Jesus.
It is the Dream of connecting believers into healthy Christian community that is loving, learning, and living in unity and with purpose.
It is the Dream of developing every believer into a growing disciple who is alive in worship, faithful in stewardship, empowered by prayer, filled with God’s Spirit, and obedient to God’s Word.
It is the Dream of releasing disciples to become servants of significant Kingdom ministry that is matched by his or her gifts, talents, passion, personality and experience.
It is the Dream of one day hearing the voice of the Lord say: “Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant,” knowing that our dreams have been birthed and blessed by God Himself!
