HELLO FRIENDS: 10.17.13 – Romans 8:31

Hello Friends,
Today’s HELLO FRIENDS comes to us from our Associate Pastor Cory Knowland.  We’re gonna “rip a page” out of his journal. No fluffy sentimentalism here. This is strong stuff. Be blessed….Pastor John

Scripture:  Romans 8:31 (NIV)

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Observation:
Roman’s 8 rocks! We can avoid condemnation from this world, from eternity, in our allegiance and relationship with Jesus. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now resides in us who call Him Lord and Savior. We can be fearless in Him. We have been adopted as children by God, heirs to His eternity which we are now living, co-heirs with Christ. The very Spirit of God literally prays through us, filling us up and guiding our thoughts and laments into conversation with God when earthly words escape us.

God works EVERYTHING for our good. He know us and loves us deeply and intimately!

Application:
As I embrace these things as fact, as truth, and step into my eternal inheritance right now; as I personally acknowledge and receive the truth of Gods love, presence and desired purpose for my life, I can begin to better understand that there is nothing that can stand against me.

NOTHING.

Sickness, loss, financial challenges, troubled relationships, attacks from the enemy of my soul, even death itself. NOTHING can stand against me as I stand in Christ.

“Greater is He in me than He that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

Romans 8:37  “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Therefore, I am not alone in anything or in any battle with God on my side. If God is for me, and He is, who or what can ever stand against me? Nothing.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your Word that brings truth, life, promise and hope for us as we work out our salvation, day to day, sometimes winning, sometimes losing, but always sanctified and loved by You. Your grace is sufficient. Your love for us has no end. Help us better hear and see you, better respond and obey. As we answer you Lord with “yes and amen”, continue to pour out your presence, blessing, love, anointing and abundant life on your people.

Blessings,

Pastor Cory
