Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.
Today in our PAUSE Reading Plan we are focusing on Psalm 108, a song of David. I thought I would simply encourage you today with this powerful Psalm.
I will sing and make melody with all my being!
Awake, O harp and lyre!
I will awake the dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!
By the way…all the exclamation points (!) in this song were actually in the text. I didn’t add them! I think there is a strong set of statements being made by King David. He’s excited about God…and so should we be!
God has been good to us and is worthy of our highest praise!
I encourage you to go back and read the Psalm again, and this time, add your own personal thoughts and comments. Sing your own personal song of praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and God!
