Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.

Hello Friends,

This weekend at West Salem Foursquare we are celebrating the truth that Jesus is ALIVE.  We are doing this in grand fashion at each of our services:

Saturday night @ 5:00 & 6:30 PM
Sunday morning @ 9:00, 10:15 & 11:45 PM

We encourage you to invite friends, co-workers, and family to experience the life of Jesus with us.  The Gospel will be communicated, the worship will be kicking, the espresso will be flowing and smiles will be plentiful!

Why will all this happen:  because we believe Jesus is ALIVE. That is a bedrock truth that we acknowledge each and every time we gather at WSFC, but there is something special about each Easter weekend.

Jesus is ALIVE and…

Because he lives, we can face tomorrow.
Because he lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living
Just because HE LIVES!

– Lyrics by Bill & Gloria Gaither

In his book “The Weekend that Changed the World,” Peter Walker says, “No wonder, then, that Christians become excited when it comes to the Resurrection! For regardless of the precise historical and archaeological details, the Resurrection itself is the source of their joy. It is the basis for their faith in Jesus – the one whom God vindicated as Messiah and Lord, and as his Son. It is the grounds for their hope in a world of suffering and death. And it is the event which enables them to experience the powerful love of God, which can overcome the evil in their own hearts and in the world. The Resurrection is a divine bombshell dropped into the heart of the world, loaded with truth, and utterly transforming in its effects.”

So excited to be with you on Easter Weekend!

P.S. Helpful Tips for our 5 WSFC Easter Services

In anticipation of the volume of guests that we will welcome on Easter weekend please consider the following two Helpful Tips:

• We are asking that regular members of WSFC attend our Saturday @ 5 pm or our Sunday @ 9 am services. This will allow for more room for guests at the other services.
• Our new entrance off of Eola Road IS COMPLETED. We are asking that WSFC regular attenders ARRIVE and LEAVE from this new driveway.
