As you've probably already heard, West Salem Foursquare Church is going to look a little different for a while – and that's okay! Although church operations have changed in this season, we want to remind you that God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Keep your faith strong.
Governor Kate Brown announced a series of actions in an effort to protect public health and limit the spread of COVID-19. As part of those efforts, mass gatherings have been prohibited.
Although we do not operate in a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7), we want to make sure that we are honoring and respecting authority (Romans 13:1), as well as taking proper precautions. Therefore, there will be no worship services at our physical campus until further notice. All scheduled events and groups have been canceled or postponed as well. With that being said, we are introducing our online campus and will be releasing new messages weekly.
Join us every Sunday at 9:00am on YouTube!
Home Church Update – May 22, 2020
Important Update – May 17, 2020
In this season, it is more important than ever to continue giving. The upcoming weeks give us an opportunity for generosity that we may never see again in our lifetime. As a church, we want to meet the needs of our community and you can partner with us in doing so.
This is a totally new challenge for our community and we want to encourage you to continue to give faithfully here at West Salem Foursquare. Even though we aren't physically meeting on Sunday mornings right now, we still have the same mission.
Ministry might look a little different in these times and your support continues to make it all happen. As always, thank you for your generosity! It's still making a difference.
We are a community who prays together.
Join us in these upcoming weeks by interceding in these areas:
• Those infected with COVID-19 and those facing quarantine.
• Those who are afraid, lonely, overwhelmed, and unsure how they will make ends meet.
• Those who are most vulnerable to this disease.
• Medical professionals, caregivers, researchers, and leaders responsible for decisions about fighting this virus.
• Those who are traveling, unable to get home, and the homeless.
Also, we would be honored to pray for you and with you. Share your requests by clicking the link below and our pastors, staff, and leaders will confidentially pray for your request. Please let us know if you would like someone to contact you and we're happy to call or email.
We understand that there is a lot of anxiety and uncertainty regarding COVID-19, and we want to remind you that we are people of faith, not fear. Let's continue to operate in God's peace (John 14:27).
We encourage you to take this matter seriously and take proper precautions outlined by the CDC and the Oregon Department of Health, while living without fear and know that our God is Healer, Provider and Protector.
This season is a reminder that it's the people who make the church, not the physical location. We look forward to connecting with you online.
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust Him.”
