Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.
Fall is definitely here. Kids are back in school, I’m looking forward to all the pie at Thanksgiving, and Costco has had their Christmas stuff out for over a month now. But we can’t rush ahead too far, because first comes HALLOWEEN.
On a night that has the potential to be very dark spiritually, we have the opportunity to bring Jesus’ light and love to our community by hosting a ridiculously fun event called Candyfest.
If you have never helped out or attended a Candyfest, let me paint you a little word picture. Actually, this is the internet, so let me just show you some literal photos.
We open our doors to thousands of people and give out massive amounts of candy. There are games, prizes, a photobooth, inflatables, donuts, and did we mention candy?
It’s not only a blast, but it’s a great way to meet new people and bless our community.
So if you haven’t yet, take a couple minutes and sign up to serve – I don’t think you’ll regret it, but at the very least you’ll have a chance to grab a couple pieces of your favorite candy 😊
