A few important reminders from Pastor John
Hello Friends,
Here’s a friendly reminder: Christmas is coming.
Around the Fehlen Family we have reduced it down to this acronym: C.I.C.
Christmas Is Coming.
For parents, this is a handy acronym, especially when kids are asking for things. When our kids were growing up, and they would undoubtedly ask for stuff, we would reply, “C.I.C.”
In other words, “Not now, you’ll have to wait for Christmas.”
The kids hated to hear that, especially when we said it in January or February!
Here’s some more friendly reminders. I draw them from today’s PAUSE Bible Reading in Psalm 146.
“He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them – he remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. The Lord reigns forever….” Psalm 146:6-10.
Allow me to highlight a handful of these important reminders:
1. The LORD upholds the oppressed.
2. The LORD gives food to the hungry.
3. The LORD sets prisoners free.
4. The LORD gives sight to the blind.
5. The LORD lifts up those that are down.
6. The LORD loves the righteous.
7. The LORD watches over the foreigner, fatherless and widow.
Be reminded of the LORD today. Be encouraged by the LORD today!
Grace & Peace to you all.
Pastor John
