GOD IS REAL
Hello Friends,
Recently I was talking to a dear friend from the side of his hospital bed.
He said something profound.
Correction: he said MANY things that were/are profound. One that I have been musing on as of late is this:
“Everything is hypothetical until the moment it happens to you.”
True that.
Some things just can’t be fully felt nor explained until they happen directly to you. That can be said of a disease, a great loss, or a family tragedy. The same can be said as well about an abiding relationship with Jesus. It’s all hypothetical until you encounter Him for yourself.
Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, put it like this: “For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” 2 Peter 1:16.
Friends, we do not follow a well-constructed story. We follow a sovereign Savior. His name is Jesus, and he is real.
He is not a cleverly devised fable nor a hypothetical, mystical concept. He is God made flesh, and my hope and prayer is that you are or will soon be an “eyewitness of his majesty.”
Together, may we encounter Jesus!
Grace & Peace to you.
