Men’s Breakfast with Sgt. Donald G. Malarkey
Imagine jumping behind enemy lines from low flying Allied planes on D-Day. You are surrounded, outgunned and out numbered. To make matters worse, only 13 out of 150 of your fellow soldiers make it to the rally point.
The ups and downs of daily work and life may not hold the dire circumstances of airborne combat, but there are lessons we can learn. Sgt. Donald G. Malarkey and leadership consultant Vance Day share amazing stories of the gallantry and courage of “Easy” Company, 506 Parachute Infantry, 101st Airborne, during World War II.
Sgt. Malarkey is one of the original Easy Company members and served more days of consecutive combat than any other E Company veteran. He is prominently featured in the award winning HBO mini-series “Band of Brothers” produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Video clips and true-life events are used by Vance and Don to supply leadership lessons to us that are applicable to our daily circumstances. You will come away better understanding your unique set of leadership gifts and how better to apply them to your life and personal goals.
Come and enjoy this meeting. You will feel empowered to make a difference as an individual man, despite the odds and the circumstances.
