Why Give Back to God?

Giving is a reflection of the heart. Giving shows a grateful heart that wants to give God the first part of our money on the first day of the week to show that God is first in our life.

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Did you know at West Salem Foursquare…

  • Every week hundreds of kids are being taught that God loves them?
  • Every week purpose and a belonging are being given to over a hundred junior high and high school students who will be able to grow up, knowing their identity is found in Christ, not making mistakes that many of us made, and go into the world to make a different with their lives?
  • Every week people are being saved from addictions and put on a path to recovery?
  • Every week families are being put back together?
  • Every week hope and help is being brought to the working poor both locally and globally?
  • Every week people are finding their way back to God?!?

Generosity is a Privilege for Us

The first century church modeled for us what it means to give generously and joyfully so that more and more people could find their way back to God.

2 Corinthians 8:2-4,7 “Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints… Just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in your love for others – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”

Q & A

Q: How does online giving work?

The online giving service allows you to deduct any amount you specify directly from your checking, savings or credit card account – the same as if you gave a check or cash at church.

Q: Who should give online?

Anyone who is looking for a simpler way to ensure his/her giving. Anyone who would like to give to the ministry of WSFC either one time or on a recurring basis.

Q: Does the church get 100% of my donation?

Yes. The service we use (Razoo) deducts no fees. When you visit our online giving site, you will see the meaning of this unique name “Razoo”.

Q: What are the benefits of giving online?

  1. Giving online allows you to prioritize giving as the first fruits of your income.
  2. You don’t have to worry about monthly paperwork, forgetting your checkbook, or falling behind due to other obligations or when traveling.
  3. It’s beneficial because it is simple, safe and easy to use.

Q: Is my personal information safe?

Yes! We take privacy and data security very seriously. Razoo uses the industry leader, Verisign, for SSL certification. In the course of a donation, your transaction information will be shared with Network for Good, which processes your donation. Your information is only seen by Razoo, West Salem Foursquare Church and Network for Good. Razoo and Network for Good will never share your personal information, donation activity, or e-mail address with any other organization unless you ask them to do so.

Q: Can I use a debit or credit card?

Yes. Either will work. Please know that we do not encourage the creation of credit card debt in order to donate. However, some folks prefer credit cards to take advantage of mileage or money back promotions offered by their card. You may use your American Express, Visa or MasterCard.

Q: Why does Razoo read “Salem West Foursquare Church”?

This is because that is our legal name among the Foursquare Church family.

Q: What if I do not attend WSFC but I want to make a donation? How would I be able to get a statement for tax purposes?

We are happy to receive your gift, above and beyond your normal giving to your own home church. All givers receive a contribution statement regardless of membership status, assuming we have all of their correct address information. Likewise, you have a record through your Razoo profile.

Q: What if I want to cancel or change my online giving?

You may cancel or make changes to your pending contributions at any time. Once your contribution has processed, you cannot make any changes to it through your online giving account.

Q: How can I get a receipt of my online gift?

An email receipt is automatically sent to you when you donate. You will receive an end of year giving statement in January. Your online contributions will appear on this statement.

Q: Is there a minimum donation amount?

Yes, your donation must be a minimum of $10.

Q: Do I need to have an account with Razoo to donate?

No, you are not required to become a member of Razoo in order to donate funds.
