Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Last week we got some of the seasons first snowflakes. As you know, they fell from the sky and almost immediately disappeared.  Kinda like cookies at our house. Or like my checking account during the next few weeks in light of Christmas, Denise’s birthday, New Year’s, and Josh & Shannon’s wedding. Yikes. Pray for us!

🙂

But, it’s true, it IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

What does that look like for us at West Salem Foursquare Church?

For starters, and most importantly, it looks like JESUS. He is not only the reason for the season but the reason for our entire lives! We are passionately committed to providing an environment whereby people can ENCOUNTER JESUS.  Like the prophet Isaiah, who foretold Jesus as Messiah, we believe…

Jesus is the child that is born.
Jesus is the son that is given.
Jesus is the one that carries everything upon his shoulders.
Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor.
Jesus is our Mighty God.
Jesus is the Everlasting Father (especially when you consider that Jesus said “I and the Father are ONE.”)
Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

How else does Christmas look at West Salem Foursquare Church?

1.  Kid’s Christmas Performance on December 18 at 8:30, 10:00 & 11:30 am.

Once again we are having our KIDS JINGLE JAM. If you remember last year’s performance then you will be sure to not miss this year…and be sure to invite a truckload of people!  It’s gonna be awesome.

2.  Christmas Eve Services • December 23 at 6 pm and December 24 at 3:00 & 4:30 pm

These simple, reflective, one-hour opportunities to worship and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ have become some of our favorite times of the year. We invite you to find the service time that best complements your family gatherings and holiday traditions.  Remember though, that we will only be offering EVE services and not Sunday, Christmas Day services, so be sure to enjoy fellowship with your families and loved ones.

Many blessings,

Pastor John
