Stories, thoughts and reflections on the Bible from the WSFC Staff.
This last weekend we dropped off our 19 year old daughter Anna at her apartment in Redding, CA for the start of another year of college.
Our 15 year old son Isaac just went to the Salem Center Mall to stock up on fresh clothes, binders, pens, pencils, and other misc supplies for another year of high school.
Yep. You got it…it’s back to school time.
And some of us were just settling into summer! Well, it’s time to switch gears. Time to get back on schedule and figure out whose running the kiddos to school in the morning, picking them up afterwards, getting them to practice, marching band, cheerleading, and like.
It’s also time to hear those fated words at around 10:42 pm…”Hey Mom…um, Dad…I need some poster board for a project…due tomorrow.”
By the way, if you haven’t figured it out, I’m speaking out of years of experience. 🙂
So, here we go. Back to school. And even if you don’t have school-age children, you know that the season is changing. We’re settling into FALL. Bring it on. More than half a closet has been set aside for months!
Speaking of set aside…
Is it possible that some have been on a summer hiatus from Church, reading the Bible, or talking to Jesus?
If so, it’s time to get back.
Back to church on Sundays (8:30 • 10:00 • 11:30 am). September 10th will be our Back to Church Sunday. We’ll have special baptisms, food trucks, inflatables for the kids, and much more.
Back to your Pause Bible Reading Plan (http://wsfc.org/resources/bible-reading/).
Back to prayer (join us for First Wednesday prayer each month).
Back to God. He hasn’t gone anywhere. He never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:2-4).
He welcomes you with open arms. So do we at West Salem Foursquare Church. See you soon!
